The Red Rose Campaign

One of the consistent initiatives of our committee has been the Red Rose Campaign, which is held each November during Prevention of Family Violence Month. A red rose is delivered by committee members and with the assistance of Grace House residents to businesses and churches throughout Drumheller. The red rose is in memory of women, children and men in Alberta who have died as victims of domestic violence. There is no associated cost for this rose. All that is asked is that the business and church community show their support by displaying it in a prominent location.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Home Town Reality, Freson Bros, Drumheller Institution, Town of Drumheller, Grace House and all community members for their ongoing support in raising awareness of family violence issues. The Red Rose Campaign covers Drumheller and the outlying communities of Morrin, Munson, Delia, East Coulee, Rosedale and Wayne. Approximately 250 red roses are delivered to businesses during the first week of November.
